Brian lost his mother to cancer in 2012 at the age of 10. His father remarried very shortly after, to a new woman who treated Brian very poorly. After struggling to finish primary school in 2015, Brian still managed to score very well on his final exams. He spent the first six months of 2016 wandering the streets carrying his exam scores, searching for someone to help pay for him to go to secondary school; this is how Joseph, the Director of Global Hope Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, found him in July of 2016. Joseph brought him to a very good secondary school where the headmaster agreed to let him study for free. Despite his absence from school for those six months he returned and performed so well that they moved him up a class from Form 1 to Form 2. After finishing Form 2, a new Headmaster was hired at the school and unfortunately no longer allowed him to attend for free. He has currently stayed at home for three weeks due to the lack of school fees. |
