Emmanuel was abandoned by his mother when he was very young in his rural town. He left school to search for her, but when he couldn’t find her he ended up in the streets of Kawangware, a town near Ngong, sniffing glue and stealing. Joseph, the Director of Global Hope Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, found him in the streets of Kwangware in 2016 and brought him to the center. While he is often one to receive hand-me-downs and is used to carrying his books to school in a plastic bag, he never complains. He is very helpful around the center, and is always smiling! Unfortunately Emmanuel is often sent home from school due rips in his uniform, or simply a lack of school fees. We're hoping to find him a sponsor to make sure he stays in school without these problems! |
