Update from Kyle

8/27/2011

Kyle returned from his trip to Kenya a few weeks ago. While there, he met with the school's administrators, teachers and parents on a weekly basis to discuss plans for the school. It was decided that a lunch program was needed and could be started at the beginning of the next school term (September). Roughly $250 a month will provide the school's students one meal a day. This lunch program will benefit the student's nutrition and health while improving their ability to concentrate in class.  We also hope this will attract more parents to send their kids to school.  Lunches will be prepared by the teachers, parents, and community volunteers.

Two days ago, Kyle and Liana spoke at the Rotary Club of Richfield about our organization's development projects in Longonot. Prior to the speaking date the Club sent out this newsletter to its members!
